Four Shires Bloodhounds

The hunt
We hunt the clean boot in Derbyshire and parts of Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire with 25 couples of bloohounds (including puppies).
This wonderful hunting country includes plenty of old turf intersected by
stout hedges and natural fences. To the north is stone wall country. There
is a second field master for those who prefer little or no jumping.
The Four Shires was founded at the Millennium by Maggie Pearlstine and
Edward Hammond, both former masters of The Farmers Bloodhounds in the
Cotswolds. They were supported by the President, the Dowager Duchess of
Devonshire and the Chairman, Sir Andrew Buchanan, the Lord-lieutenant of
Nottinghamshire. The pack developed from the original Kyre Bloodhounds,
which merged into the Four Shires, drafts from other hunts and now
home-grown puppies. Kennels are in Pikehall in the Peak Park.
The Hunt encourages visitors and is known to be friendly and welcoming.
